Have You Been Putting Off Taking A Concealed Carry Class?

There are many places that you can take your Illinois Concealed Carry Class. These range from dedicated training facilities like Sheepdog Firearms Academy in Monee, to instructors that will come teach it in your friend’s basement. Both options will get you the certificate you need but will both truly prepare you for the responsibility of carrying a firearm? Absolutely not.

Our staff has well over 100 years of combined experience. Our lead instructor brings 8 years in the United States Marine Corps and over 35 years of teaching law enforcement officers. He recently retired as a Police Chief of 15 years.

Our people make our class exceptional, but our real secret sauce is the curriculum. We teach everything the state requires and then we add in things that are arguably even more critical. From situational awareness and weapon rendition to breaking down film of actual scenarios, we teach you everything you need to know.

We often get asked “what if I have little or no experience with firearms?”. The answer is it does not matter a bit. We have a wide variety of experience levels in our classes and we meet each student where they are. No one is too young (well 21 and over anyway) or too old (we recently had a 78 year old graduate who never fired a pistol before in her life).

Our classes are held in our new facility in Monee Illinois just off I57. The classroom and indoor range are all on site. No need to travel anywhere else. Our class is $179 and includes range use, target, and use of a weapon. The only thing not included is ammunition. Fingerprints are optional and available during the class from an outside vendor.

Are there cheaper classes out there? Absolutely but just like most things in life you get what you pay for. Carrying a firearm is simply too serious to cheap out on your training.
