Collection of nearly all types of household chemicals, hazardous materials and liquids, including latex paint and motor oil.

HHW Items Accepted include: All types of paints/stains, old/unwanted medication, Paint Thinners, Solvents, Drain Cleaners, Cleaning Products, Rechargeable Batteries, Used Cooking Oil, Mercury & mercury items, Aerosol Paints & Pesticides, Lawn & Garden Chemicals and Fertilizers, Used Oil, Used Oil Filters, Old Gasoline, Antifreeze, Automotive/Boat Batteries, Fluorescent Light Bulbs, Compact Fluorescent Bulbs (CFLs), Pool Chemicals, Driveway Sealer

Items NOT Accepted include: Fireworks/ Explosives, Agricultural wastes, Fire extinguishers(accepted at New Lenox Township and New Lenox Fire Stations), Ammunition (check with your local police department), Radioactive material, Institutional wastes, Controlled substances, Alkaline batteries, Business wastes, Regular garbage, Tires, Smoke/CO detectors, Medical waste/Sharps, Gas cylinders
