Hickory Creek Varsity Girls Volleyball Takes 2nd At Regionals
This marks the fourth time in the last ten years the team has appeared in the regional championship game, the district said.
FRANKFORT, IL — The Hickory Creek Middle School girls varsity =volleyball team ended its season with a second place finish in the regional championship.
According to the district, the varsity team defeated the Bradley Central Knights, 25-6 and 25-12 in the regional quarterfinals; and also won against Manteno Middle School, 25-9 and 25-11 in the semi-finals. The team lost to Bourbonnais Upper Grade Center, 15-25 and 27-25, in the regional championship game.

The team consists of Ava Arndt, Olivia Bohren, Hannah Brandau Sydney Buchanan, Lauren
Hughes, Kyndal James, Ella Jensen, Samantha Kenny, Tamia Maddox, Gianna Paliga, Rylin
Rimsinder, Victoria Tagler and is coached by Michele Vallero.
“I'm so proud of how this group of girls worked together this season,” Vallero said in a release.

Due to the coronavirus, IESA will only hold regional competition for volleyball; there is no sectional or state championship this year.
