Lincoln-Way East Boys Volleyball Advances To State Semifinals
The team will face Glenbrook North at 10 a.m. Saturday at Glenbard West in Glen Ellyn.
FRANKFORT, IL — The Lincoln-Way East boys volleyball team has advanced to the semifinals of the state finals series. The team will face Glenbrook North at 10 a.m. Saturday at Glenbard West in Glen Ellyn.
The state championship game will then be played at 5 p.m. Saturday, according to the IHSA website.
To reach the semifinals, Lincoln-Way East defeated Marist in sectional finals, 2-1, and won against Lockport, 2-1, in the state quarterfinals.

The team's head coach is Kristopher Fiore. According to IHSA, the roster includes: Sam Szafoni, Jared Byas, Jordan Hicks, Owen Morrow, Jerry Moylan, Jon Guch, Jake Kougan, Aiden Olsen, Tyler Walenga, Ian Nicholson, Jason Kougan, Joey Glennon, Jeremiah Murray and Mac Hagemaster.
The team is 20-5.
