FRANKFORT, IL — For those looking to adopt a pet, a great place to look for your new family member is at Lulu's Locker Rescue, a nonprofit animal rescue in Frankfort. This week's 'Adoptable Pet' is Rookie, who is available for adoption at the rescue.

Rookie is a 2-year-old domestic short hair tabby, the rescue said. He was found as a stray hiding in the back of a garage. Rooki also has an old injury to his back leg, which he doesn't use, but he still gets around easily.

The rescue said Rookie is shy at first, but then warms up quickly. He does well with other cats, cat-friendly dogs, and children. He can zoom around with the other cats on three legs just fine.
