Montessori Of Frankfort Celebrates Kindergarten Graduation

The Kindergarten Class at Montessori of Frankfort Was Treated to a Graduation Ceremony.

Montessori of Frankfort just celebrated its Kindergarten Graduation, a monumental and developmental milestone in each student's life. For three years the children have been actively learning under the Montessori method, giving children the tools, they need for success as they begin their grade school years. During the ceremony, each child gave a speech about their experiences and what they are most looking forward to next year in first grade.

"The day was emotional, but we all felt very proud of the children." said Linda Mora, director of Montessori of Frankfort. "For three years we watched these amazing children blossom with so much pride. They have developed into independent and eager learners, so now it's time they spread their wings and tackle grade school with enthusiasm and confidence," Mora continued.

Typically, Montessori of Frankfort students enroll at three years old and continue through kindergarten, studying numerous subjects often taught in later years with traditional education. For example, art appreciation and history, geography, biology, chemistry, algebra and geometry are all subjects that children at Montessori of Frankfort are exposed to from age three to kindergarten.

The formal graduation ceremony included a rose presentation to parents for giving the children the gift of a Montessori education, self-written student speeches, a diploma ceremony and concluded with a brunch at Prairie Bluff Country Club in Lockport.

Mora concluded, "On behalf of the entire staff of Montessori of Frankfort, we congratulate the graduating class of 2018, and thank their families for their support."
