Motorcyclist Killed In I-80 Hit And Run: Coroner

The coroner identified him as a 69-year-old Lansing, Illinois man.

FRANKFORT, IL — A motorcyclist who was seriously injured after a hit and run crash on I-80 on Friday has died of his injuries. The Will County Coroner's office identified him as 69-year-old Tony L. Mosley of Lansing, Illinois.

According to police, the crash involving the motorcycle and another vehicle happened 11:15 around a.m. Friday. The coroner's office said Mosley was pronounced dead at 11:51 a.m. at the Silver Cross Hospital emergency room.

The investigation is open and ongoing, police said. Anyone who witnessed the incident or was traveling in or around the area who may have information to share regarding the incident, is encouraged to contact the police at 847-294-4400. Callers can remain anonymous.

The two left lanes of I-80 eastbound near Oak Park Avenue were closed for several hours following the crash for an investigation, Illinois State Police said.
