Obituary: ​Norma Jean Clark-Keto

A graveside service in honor of Norma will be held at Crown Hill Cemetery in Knox, Indiana, on Nov. 9, at 11 a.m.

Norma Jean Clark-Keto (Kinney), age 86, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend died Oct. 16, 2019. Surrounded by family members and caregivers, Norma passed with grace at Rosewood Care Center in Joliet.

Norma was born Oct. 29, 1932 in Knox, Indiana, to the late Clyde Kinney and Mabel (Cornwell) Kinney. She retired from Exxon Mobil Corporation in Frankfort as a Quality Control Inspector. Family was always very important to Norma as she helped care for her 11 siblings and then raised her own family of five children. Norma also loved quite a few children of other mothers and friends whom she made feel like family. Her home was a welcoming place and she had the rare gift of making each person feel special and cherished.

Norma is survived by five loving children: Son Larry Clark of Frankfort, son Daniel Clark of St. Louis, Missouri, daughter-in-law Anne Clark of Frankfort, daughter Cindy Burns of New Lenox, daughter Suzanne Knoelk and husband John Knoelk of Lockport, daughter Kristine Griffin and husband Jeff Griffin of Monee. She is survived by eight beloved grandchildren: Michael Clark, Jacqueline Burton, Heather Wallace, Shannon McGrath, Erin Burns, Caitlin Kerfin-Smith, Jaden Griffin, and Jenna Griffin. Nine children were blessed to have Norma as their great grandma.

She is also survived by siblings Kathryn Patrick of Michigan City, Indiana, Rita (Steve) Bolinski of Jacksonville, Florida, Carol (Jimmy) Patrick of Plymouth, Indiana, and Dale (Zona) Kinney of Knox, Indiana.

Norma was preceded in death by her husband Ernest Clark and husband Philip Keto and by her siblings: Bobby Kinney, Marge Kinney, Dean Kinney, Darlene Bailey, Darwin Kinney, Sharon Campbell, and Virginia Sinn.

A graveside service in honor of Norma will be held at Crown Hill Cemetery in Knox, Indiana, on Nov. 9, at 11 a.m. Interment will follow in the Crown Hill Cemetery.

Any gifts in honor of Norma can be donated to Joliet Area Community Hospice, whose angels cared for Norma in her final months.
