Pizza Pete Plans March Grand Opening

The restaurant in Frankfort Square is currently in the soft open stage, and offers pizza, salads, sandwiches and wings.

FRANKFORT, IL — Pizza lovers have a new place to try in Frankfort Square. Pizza Pete has opened its second location at 19860 S. Harlem Ave., the former site of Pizza Mia.

The restaurant is in the soft opening stage, owner John Skopick told Patch. Skopick, who also works as a State Farm insurance agent, said the restaurant has sold out several times, and they never expected the reaction from the community.

"We're waiting on equipment," Skopick said, adding that the grand opening for the restaurant would be held in March.

Area residents may recognize Pizza Pete from its Orland Park location.

Skopick, who recently bought the restaurants, called the Orland Park location a "hidden gem," and said the restaurant used to have 11 locations in the 70s and 80s.
