Police Hunt Suspect in Armed Robbery

FRANKFORT, IL — Frankfort police are urging residents to be vigilant as officers search for a suspect in an armed robbery that took place Tuesday afternoon at US Bank in Frankfort.

The incident occurred at the bank branch at Route 30 and LaGrange Road around 3 p.m., according to an alert issued by the village. The suspect was described as a white male, 30–40 years old, wearing blue jeans and a dark grey/black shirt. He also had sunglasses atop his head. A weapon was implied during the robbery, police said.

No one was injured, and a small amount of money was taken. The suspect fled on foot, headed westbound.
