Reminder to Leave Fireworks to Professionals: Frankfort Police
Frankfort Police remind residents that consumer fireworks are illegal in village.

FRANKFORT, IL — Just ahead of Fourth of July celebrations set to take off across the village, Frankfort Police Department is reminding residents that the Village does have a fireworks ordinance in place that bans the sale, possession and use of all consumer fireworks.
According to police, the ordinance is in compliance with the Pyrotechnic Use Act. It includes firecrackers, bottle rockets and Roman candles.
Frankfort police ask "you leave fireworks displays to the professionals so we can all have a safe 4th of July."
