St. Baldrick's Back at Lincoln-Way East in February

Students and staff will participate in the annual fundraiser to be held Feb. 3.

FRANKFORT, IL — On Friday, February 3, Lincoln-Way East will host the annual St. Baldrick’s event. The fundraiser will be held during the Junior Varsity and Varsity basketball games in the Lincoln-Way East gym balcony, beginning at 5 p.m.

St. Baldrick’s Foundation is a volunteer-powered charity that funds childhood cancer research grants. Over the past six years, Lincoln-Way High Schools have donated over $110,000 to St. Baldrick’s.

At least four Lincoln-Way employees have committed to shaving their heads in support for the fundraiser. Matt Jordan, Scott McCreary, Michael Beckett, and Jason Pearson will each have their heads shaved during the event.

“We love that our students and staff are a small, but a mighty group who commit to this event each year. The drive behind our commitment is knowing they can make a tremendous difference in the lives of children who have cancer,” says Lincoln-Way East Activities Coordinator, Jaime Pearson.

Those looking to donate or become involved in the event can contact Jaime Pearson at jaime.pearson@lw210.org.
