'Student in Crisis' Prompts Soft Lockdown at Chelsea Intermediate
Staff wanted the front office and entrance clear in case emergency responders needed to access the scene.

FRANKFORT, IL — A student in crisis prompted staff to call for a soft lockdown Friday morning at Chelsea Intermediate School.
Teachers, staff and children were able to move about the school normally, and staff restricted visitor access to the front office only.
"We needed the front office clear of traffic," said Nancy Neuzil, Public Relations Coordinator for Frankfort District 157-C. "We wanted to be sure that first responders and emergency personnel were able to gain quick access to the building, if needed."
