United Lincoln-Way Marching Band to Host Community Night

Sept. 10 event will include performances and a live auction.

NEW LENOX, IL — On September 10, at 6 p.m., Lincoln-Way Marching Band (LWMB) will be hosting Community Night on the Lincoln-Way Central Football Field. In addition to live performances by the band, Community Night will also host a silent auction. The auction will include items such as a hot air balloon ride, Chicago White Sox tickets, wine tasting parties, and gift cards to various local restaurants. The band will also auction off the chance for community members to act as a director, band member, drum major, or guard member for a day.

A meal and drink will be provided for $5.00, and all in attendance will receive a $20.00 credit toward an Uber ride, and a $99.00 VIP Membership to Travel Set Go.

“The support we’ve seen from local businesses and the public is overwhelming, and the band members are so excited to continue bringing the community together,” says sponsorship director, Kim Hansen. “This is the first time we’ve held a silent auction, and the first time we’ve been able to include gift certificates and credits to those who attend. We’re looking forward to a big turnout!”
