Who Did Frankfort Voters Pick for President?

All but two Frankfort precincts held a winning vote for Donald Trump.

Voters in Frankfort selected Donald Trump as their choice for president on Tuesday.

Out of 28 Frankfort precincts, 26 of them voted for Trump, though some totals were closer than others, according to unofficial results from the Will County Clerk’s Office. 15,759 people in Frankfort precincts voted for Trump, versus the 12,023 people who voted for Clinton.

Clinton led in two Frankfort precincts: 010, by a mere 4 votes, and 024, by 133 votes.

With unofficial results in, over 49 percent of the county’s voters, which amounted to 146,230 people, selected Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton when they headed out to the polls on Tuesday while 44 percent — or 129,726 people — voted for president-elect Donald Trump. Nearly 4 percent of the remaining voters—11,337 people—picked Libertarian candidate Gary Johnson and 1.26 percent selected Green party candidate Jill Stein, according to unofficial results posted on the Will County Clerk’s Office website..

Will County joined the majority of suburban collar counties in picking Clinton, who grew up in Park Ridge, for president. McHenry County was the only county that favored Trump.

In addition, an overwhelming number of voters across the state of Illinois picked Clinton on Tuesday -- with 55 percent of total voters in Illinois selecting Clinton over the 39 percent who picked Trump. The win in Illinois gave her 20 electoral votes, but not enough as Trump would go on to win the electoral vote across the nation. He was declared president-elect early Wednesday.

Suburban Cook County

  1. 1. Hillary Clinton: 679,297 votes, which was 65.38 percent of the vote
  2. Donald Trump: 312,177 votes, which was 30.05 percent of the vote

McHenry County

  1. Donald Trump: 71,117 votes, which was nearly 50 percent of the total vote
  2. Hillary Clinton: 59,827 votes, which was 42.04 percent of the vote

Kane County

  1. Hillary Clinton: 80,981 votes, which was 47.49 percent of the vote
  2. Donald Trump: 74,926 votes, which was 43.57 percent of the vote

DuPage County

  1. Hillary Clinton: 222,499, which was 52.77 percent of the vote
  2. Donald Trump: 164,355, which was 39.98 percent of the vote

Will County

  1. Hillary Clinton: 146,230 votes, which was 49.62 percent of the total vote
  2. Donald Trump: 129,726, which was 44.02 percent of the total vote
