Wine and Ale Walk Set to 'Wined' through Downtown Frankfort

Tickets go on sale Friday, Sept. 9. Get 'em while you can!

FRANKFORT, IL — The Frankfort Historic Business Association will host its 5th annual Wine & Ale Walk on Sunday, September 25, 2016, from 4 to 8 p.m. This is a ticketed, 21+ event. IDs will be checked at the door.

During the walk, guests will "wined" in and out of FHBA merchant shops sampling wine and ale and enjoying appetizer and dessert bites from local restaurants. There are 14 wine stops, 5 ale stops, 5 food stops and 2 dessert stops on the route. Live music is also featured throughout the downtown business district, including The German Horn Trio by the Frankfort Area Historical Society Museum, Jerry Armstrong on the Breidert Green stage and The Road Unknown, a pop/blues/jazz duo on the Trolley Barn patio.

Wined-ing through Historic Downtown Frankfort is sponsored in part by Bimba Manufacturing and the Village of Frankfort. Wine sampled on the walk will be available for purchase at Binny's.

Tickets will go on sale Friday, September 9, at shophistoricfrankfort.com (for credit card purchases) or in these stores: This & That Gifts, La Vie Vintage, Glory Bee and White Street Cafe. (cash or check only). Tickets are $30 in advance or $35 at check in if still available. There is a $10 designated driver ticket which includes all of the food and dessert tastes, bottled water and the keepsake glass. The walk will go rain or shine. No refunds.

This event is a fundraiser for the non-profit merchant association and helps fund Frankfort Historic Business Association events like the Christkindl and Cookie Walk weekend in December which features a visit by live reindeer.
