GENEVA, IL — A Blackberry Township woman faces charges of speeding and fleeing or attempting to elude a police officer, court records show, due to being cited twice for speeding during the morning of Feb. 5. According to Kane County Chronicle, 48-year-old Tamara L. Gregory, from the 40W000 block of Wellington Way, is accused of misdemeanor fleeing or attempting to elude a police officer, speeding 36 mph in a 25 mph zone and speeding 46 mph in a 25 mph zone, Kane County Sheriff’s reports and court records report. Gregory was first pulled over while driving east on Terney Lane in the Mill Creek subdivision, and told the deputy, "You know what? You’re awful. … I gotta go,” the report said, according to the news source.
During the second incident, Gregory stopped at a red light at Fabyan Parkway, turned east, then stopped on the shoulder of the roadway just west of Kaneville Road, according to the reports, Kane County Chronicle said. More sheriff's deputies came to assist the other, leading Gregory to eventually exit the car before she was put in handcuffs. According to the sheriff's office, Kane County Chronicle said medical personnel were called due to Gregory's lack of cooperation and "abnormal reaction to the consequences of her driving," though she refused treatment. Gregory's court date is scheduled for Feb. 26 in St. Charles, the news report said.
