Coronavirus Cases Up Nearly 50% In Geneva D304 Over Past 2 Weeks

Geneva District 304 has reported almost 100 confirmed coronavirus cases among students and staff since reopening schools Aug. 31.

GENEVA, IL — Coronavirus cases are continuing to grow within Geneva District 304, which experienced a nearly 50 percent increase in cases over the past two weeks.

District 304 reported 97 total cases Friday, up from 67 on Oct. 27, according to the district’s coronavirus dashboard.

There have been 30 confirmed cases at Geneva High School since students returned to in-person learning Aug. 31, including eight cases that were active Friday.

The district’s two middle schools have reported 24 total cases, with six active cases Friday at Geneva Middle School South, the dashboard shows.

New Coronavirus Test Site At Aurora Mall To Offer Quicker Results

There have been 37 confirmed cases within District 304 elementary schools during the 2020-21 school year. Coronavirus cases have been reported at all nine District 304 schools, the dashboard shows.

There have also been six cases within district offices.
