Coronavirus In IL: Several Businesses Closed At Geneva Commons

Due to the coronavirus, Geneva commons wrote in an online statement that the "safety and wellness of their shoppers is always a priority."

GENEVA, IL — Geneva Commons announced an update Thursday regarding changes to individual store hours, as several vendors, shops and restaurants at the open-air shopping center have closed until the dates listed below. Geneva commons wrote in an online statement that the "safety and wellness of their shoppers is always a priority."

"We’re carefully monitoring novel coronavirus (COVID-19) developments to stay informed of the facts and help keep our open-air shopping center tenants, vendors, employees, and shoppers informed," the statement reads."

As of Thursday, the following Geneva Commons stores have made adjustments to their regular business hours:

  • Apricot Lane: Closed until 3/31
  • American Eagle Outfitters: Closed until 3/27
  • Azar Jewelers: Appointment only
  • Banana Republic: Closed until 4/2
  • Barnes & Noble: Monday to Saturday, open 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., Sunday, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
  • Bath & Body Works: Closed until 3/30
  • Chico’s: Closed until 3/30
  • Claire’s: Closed until 3/27
  • Color Me Mine: Open 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Crate & Barrel: Closed until 4/1
  • Dick’s Sporting Goods: Closed until 4/2, curbside contactless pickup service available

These changes come two days after Kane County Board Chairman Christopher Lauzen declared a state of emergency throughout the county amid ongoing coronavirus concerns.
