Former Carpentersville Teacher Gets 10 Years For Sex Assault
Lindsey Anderson, 31, will also have to register for life as a sexual offender, according to the Kane County State's Attorney's Office.

KANE COUNTY, IL — A former Carpentersville Middle School teacher from Geneva was sentenced Friday to 10 years in the Illinois Department of Corrections for sexually assaulting two minors she knew, according to the Kane County State's Attorney's Office.
Lindsey Anderson, 31, of the 900 block of Foxwood Drive, pleaded guilty in September to felony criminal sexual assault and felony aggravated criminal sexual abuse, according to the state's attorney's office. She was sentenced Friday by Kane County Circuit Judge Donald M. Tegeler Jr.
Assistant State’s Attorney Lori Schmidt said that between July 2013 and May 2015, Anderson sexually assaulted the two victims, who were both younger than 18. Anderson, who was employed at the time at Carpentersville Middle School and was a coach at Dundee-Crown High School, knew both victims. Anderson wasn't the victims' teacher when the crimes took place but took advantage of her prior relationship as their teacher, the state's attorney's office said.
