Congrats to all local runners who tackled the 26.2-mile race Sunday in Chicago!

Local runners fared well at the Bank of America Chicago Marathon Sunday.
Rich Calvario was the first Geneva resident to finish the 26.2-mile race in Chicago Sunday, according to unofficial results posted on the Chicago Marathon website. He crossed the finish line with an impressive time of 2:48.22. Maggie Coyne was the first female Geneva resident to cross the finish line. She finished with an unofficial time of 3:43.54.
Meanwhile, Dickson Chumba, 28, of Kenya, was the overall winner of the race with an unofficial time of 2:09:25, according to Runner’s World. Florence Kiplagat, 28, also from Kenya, won the woman’s race with an unofficial time of 2:23.33, according to WGN TV. Each of the winners will receive $10,000.
