Geneva Arts Fair is This Weekend

More than 140 artists will have their work on display in downtown Geneva on July 27 and July 28.

GENEVA, IL —Downtown Geneva will transform into an outdoor art gallery this weekend. More than 140 artists will have their work on display and there will be a wide variety of pieces, all of which are for sale, to choose from, including, drawings, paintings, sculptures, ceramics, jewelry, textiles, glass and much more.

The art fair will take place in the area of 100 S. Third Street and will run from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on July 27 and July 28.

The Geneva Chamber of Commerce has a full list of artists that will have their work on display at this year's show.

Drivers should also be aware that the art fair is in town this weekend and prepare for traffic delays downtown.

Third Street from James to South streets will be closed to traffic and parking starting at 4 p.m. Friday, July 26, festival organizers set up for the arts fair. "No Parking" signs will be posted during the morning of July 26 to notify downtown visitors of the upcoming festival restrictions, according to a news release from the city of Geneva.

If vehicles remain on South Third Street after 4 p.m., the police department will have them towed from the downtown. South Third Street is expected to be reopened to traffic by 8:30 p.m. July 28.
