Geneva Concours d’Elegance Car Show Parked For 2020
The event, scheduled for Aug. 23, was called off due to the coronavirus pandemic.
GENEVA, IL — Car lovers in Geneva will have to wait another year to see hundreds of classic and exotic cars come to town after organizers canceled this summer’s Concours d’Elegance car show. The event, scheduled for Aug. 23, was called off due to the coronavirus pandemic.
“As we navigate through the ongoing health concerns related to the COVID-19 pandemic, the directors of the Geneva Concours d’Elegance have arrived at the difficult decision to cancel our event this year,” said director John Barrett. “We realize that this cancellation will be a big disappointment to many of us; however, the health and welfare of our Concours spectators, volunteers, sponsors, merchants, exhibitors, and the City of Geneva remains our number one priority. We are confident we are doing the right thing.”
Organizers have scheduled next year’s Geneva Concours d’Elegance for Aug. 22, 2021, and the event will include what was planned for this summer’s car show, according to a news release.
