“I thought I could only have boys, so I wasn’t really setting my expectations too high for a girl,” Ramirez told the Chicago Tribune. “When I found out from the ultrasound, I was still not believing it. I was like, I’ll believe it the day she’s born — and here she is.”

The first baby born at Central DuPage Hospital this New Year came at 12:23 a.m., Kim Waterman, spokeswoman for Northwestern Medicine, told Patch. Iliana Rolland, the daughter of Leanne and Jason Rolland, weighed 8 pounds, 1 ounce and measured 21 inches. The Rollands live in Winfield.
