Geneva H.S. Kicker Dedicates Season To Help Kids With Cancer
Reilly Waldoch will accept donations and pledges for each field goal and extra point he makes during the football season.

In an effort to raise funds and awareness for the fight against childhood cancer, Geneva High School running back and kicker, Reilly Waldoch, is dedicating his 2018 football season to kids with cancer as a Kick-It Champion. Reilly will accept donations and pledges for each field goal and extra point he makes during the football season. All donations received will benefit childhood cancer research through Kick-It powered by Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation, according to a news release.
Reilly has set a goal of raising $5,000 throughout the season which will fund over two weeks of childhood cancer research. He is participating as a Kick-It Champion in honor of his friend’s cousin, Ava Olson, who passed away from diffuse intrinsic pontine glioma (DIPG), a pediatric brain tumor.
There have been multiple kids in Reilly’s hometown who have battled this disease, according to a news release.

“I care a great deal about this event as it’s a great way to help others and there are only positives to what I’m doing,” said Reilly.
The Kick-It Champion program was started by All-State Ohio football player Matt Colella who battled cancer as a middle school student. His commitment to help others inspired his community and athletes around the country to become Kick-It Champions.
