Geneva Mayoral Candidates To Detail Platforms In Online Forum
Incumbent Kevin Burns and two-time challenger Tom Simonian are expected to participate in a League of Women Voters forum March 18.

GENEVA, IL — The League of Women Voters is set to host an online forum next week to give candidates for Geneva mayor an opportunity to lay out their platforms and ideas for voters ahead of the April 6 election.
Incumbent Kevin Burns and two-time challenger Tom Simonian will participate in a forum at 7 p.m. March 18, with the event to be broadcast on the League of Women Voters of Central Kane County Facebook page.

The forum will be held at the Geneva Public Library, but it is closed to the public, the Kane County Chronicle reports. Residents can submit questions for the forum by emailing info@lwvckc.org.
Simonian was unsuccessful in his bid to unseat Burns in the 2017 election. He also fell short with his campaign for Geneva City Council in 2019.
