GENEVA, IL — FoxFire Restaurant in Geneva is shutting its doors for the coming days after learning an employee was potentially exposed to someone with the coronavirus.

A post on FoxFire Restaurant’s Facebook page says the restaurant has taken every coronavirus-related precaution available over the past few months and will be shutting down this week to keep its staff and the Geneva community safe.

In the post, the restaurant’s leaders say they hope the temporary closure is “just an isolated event.” The Kane County Health Department will determine when the restaurant can reopen.

“We ask that you have patience and understanding as we do this,” the post reads.
