Geneva Seeking Applicants For New City Treasurer
The treasurer position, which remains open, will pay $2,000 in annual compensation, doled out on a monthly basis.
GENEVA, IL—The City of Geneva is looking for a new city treasurer and you could be it.
The successful candidate will be appointed by Mayor Kevin Burns with the advice and consent of the Geneva City Council.
The term will run through May 5, 2025.

The City Treasurer serves on the Police and Fire Pension Boards and will receive $2,000 in annual compensation, which is paid on a monthly basis.
Geneva residents interested in serving as the City Treasurer should submit an application along with a letter of interest to Mayor Kevin Burns, City of Geneva, 22 S. First St., Geneva, IL 60134; Attn: City Treasurer Vacancy.

The deadline to apply is Thursday, June 10.
Candidates must meet the following eligibility requirements to be considered for the position:
- Have resided within the corporate boundaries of the City of Geneva for at least one year prior to appointment.
- Be a legal U.S. citizen.
- Be a registered voter.
- Have no felony convictions
- Be current on taxes and payments to the City.
