​Kane County Breweries Partner For Virtual Fundraiser For Staff

The Sunday fundraiser will feature live music, bartender spotlights and giveaways.

KANE COUNTY, IL — Six Kane County breweries this Sunday will team up to raise funds for bartenders and servers amid a statewide ban on indoor dining.

The fundraiser, hosted by St Charles's Pollyanna Brewing Company and Tunes for a Minute will consist of a livestreamed concert held at 8:30 p.m. on Sunday.

The concert is free and will include a live performance from ESSO!, along with bartender spotlights and giveaways. A PayPal account and GoFundMe campaign have been set up to collect donations for employees at six Kane County breweries: Pollyanna Brewing Company, Riverlands Brewing Company, D and G Brewing, 93 Octane Brewery, Alter Brewing + Kitchen and Penrose Brewing.

"During these difficult times, it’s clear that the service and entertainment industries are among those who have been hit the hardest," Pollyanna Brewing wrote in a Facebook event description. "We’re calling on everyone to join us in helping our local bartenders, servers, and musicians that we have come to know as friends. Your donation, no matter the size, will have a direct impact on your community."

Donations can be made to via GoFundMe or PayPal. As of Thursday morning, the GoFundMe campaign had raised $645 toward its $40,000 goal.
