Election Complaint Hotline To Open Nov. 3 In Kane County

Officials are asking people to report any potentially illegal election activity, including denial of voting rights and electioneering.

KANE COUNTY, IL — Kane County officials are expected to set up a hotline for voters to report any issues they have while casting their ballots on Election Day.

Voters can report election-related concerns to the Kane County State’s Attorney’s Office from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. Nov. 3 by calling 630-208-5328, according to a news release.

Assistant state’s attorneys will be ready to travel to any of the county’s 291 voting precincts to make sure they are in compliance with state laws, the release states.

Officials are asking people to call the hotline if they experience or witness any potentially illegal election activity, including denial of voting rights, electioneering or improperly placed campaign signs.

The hotline will only be open Nov. 3 and residents should not use it to ask election-related questions. Residents who experience or witness voting issues at early voting locations should report them to the Kane County Clerk’s Election Help Line at 630-232-5990.
