Man Attacked, Threatened To Kill People In Geneva Park: Police
Geneva police allege a Crystal Lake man punched a person last month in Moore Park and chased after others with a weapon.
GENEVA, IL — A Crystal Lake man is facing a slew of charges after police alleged he attacked several people in Moore Park and chased after others while holding a knife or metal pipe.
Anthony Vilchis, 18, was charged last month with two felony counts of aggravated battery, as well as misdemeanor counts of aggravated assault, battery and assault, according to Kane County court records.

Police said they were called around 11 p.m. Sept. 25 about a person carrying a knife in Moore Park, located at 875 Geneva Dr., according to a report by the Kane County Chronicle.
Several people told police that Vilchis brandished a knife and started running after them, with one reporting Vilchis threatened to kill them, the report states.

Police allege Vilchis also punched a man in the face and swung his fist at another person, the report states.
Kane County To Open Complaint Hotline On Election Day
Vilchis is being held at the Kane County jail in lieu of $10,000 bail. He is due to next appear in court Nov. 6.
