Man Dies Days After Being Hit By SUV While Skateboarding: Coroner
The 23-year-old was riding his skateboard on Route 25 around 8:15 p.m. Sunday when he was struck by a Chevrolet Tahoe, authorities said.
GENEVA, IL — A 23-year-old St. Charles man who was hit by an SUV while skateboarding died early Wednesday morning, according to Kane County Coroner Rob Russell.
Joshua Farwell was riding his skateboard on Route 25 just before 8:15 p.m. Sunday when he was struck by a Chevrolet Tahoe, authorities said.

Farwell was treated for critical injuries at Northwestern Medicine Delnor Hospital, where he died around 12:40 a.m. Wednesday, the coroner said.
Witnesses performed CPR on Farwell on Sunday night until paramedics arrived, police said. The driver of the SUV, a 73-year-old Batavia man, was not injured in the crash and is "fully cooperating" with the Geneva Police Department's investigation, according to a news release.

The driver did not see Farwell skateboarding on Route 25 "due to the darkness along that stretch of roadway," police said.
