Naper Settlement Welcomes Geneva Mayor as New Vice President
Naper Settlement brings on Geneva resident and mayor as vice president.

Naper Settlement welcomes Geneva Mayor Kevin Burns to its development team as Vice President of Philanthropy.
Along with serving as Geneva alderman, Burns is also a veteran fundraising professional with close to three decades of experience.
“We are pleased to welcome Kevin to Naper Settlement," said Naper Settlement President and CEO Mike Krol in a news release. "With his outstanding background in fundraising, we know he will take our organization to the next level.”

Burns has more than 25 years of development experience with such organizations as the Muscular Dystrophy Association/Jerry Lewis Labor Day Telethon, Paramount Arts Center (Aurora), United States Olympic Committee, Rush-Copley Medical Center (Aurora), United States Equestrian Federation, Midwestern University (Downers Grove) and the United States Figure Skating Association.
“I am honored to serve as Naper Settlement’s Vice President, Philanthropy and look forward to working with the professional staff, Board of Directors, volunteers and donor community to advance the mission and vision of this nationally-recognized outdoor history museum,” Burns said in a news release.

A resident of Geneva since 1974, Burns has 20 years experience in municipal government, serving on the Geneva Library board, then as an alderman and currently as mayor. He is a graduate of Augustana College with a B.A. in Political Science and Speech Communications.
