Northern Illinois Food Bank Packs Holiday Meal Boxes
The west suburban center in Geneva kicked of its holiday giving season this past weekend.

GENEVA, IL — The Northern Illinois Food Bank in Geneva welcomed 113 volunteers who helped pack nearly 7,700 holiday meal boxes for those in need this holiday season, according to a post on the Northern Illinois Food Bank Facebook page. The west suburban center kicked off its holiday season this past weekend by packing the boxes to "help ensure everyone in our community can enjoy a Thanksgiving or Christmas meal this year," according to a Facebook post.
The program, which is in its 20th years, is sponsored by Tate & Lyle North America, Custom Culinary, Jewel-Osco, The Jel Sert Company, Brownberry Bread, and HSBC.
