Police Still Seeking Info On Hit and Run

A 73-year-old man is still recovering from the Aug. 22 crash that happened in downtown Geneva, authorities said.

GENEVA, IL — The Geneva Police Department is continuing to ask for the public's help in locating the driver involved in a hit and run crash last month in downtown Geneva, authorities said late last week. The collision on Aug. 22 seriously injured a pedestrian crossing State Street at about 8:50 p.m.

Authorities say a silver or gray Cadillac Escalade SUV heading west in the 400 block of West State Street struck the 73-year-old Aurora man before the driver fled the scene. The model year for the vehicle is believed to be between 2007 and 2014.

The SUV was last seen heading west on State Street before turning north on Fifth Street and then east onto Hamilton Street, according to a news release from the Geneva Police Department.
