Swedish Days Opens Registration For Festival Events
A 5K, chocolate crawl and outdoor concert are planned for Geneva's annual festival. Tickets are required and registration is open now.
GENEVA, IL—Want to make the most of this year’s Swedish Days? You better start thinking ahead. Although the festival doesn’t kick-off until late June, registration for several events is now open.
Swedish Days Lopp 5K
Break out the blue and yellow garb if you plan on participating in this annual event held Saturday, June 26.
Touted as a “spirited Scandinavian race", runners are encouraged to wear their best Scandinavian-themed outfits.

The race starts and finishes at Gunnar Anderson Forest Preserve, 719 S. Batavia Ave., Geneva. There will also be a Kids’ Dash race for ages 1-8 that begins at 7:15 a.m.. Register for both races here.

The Geneva Chamber of Commerce, along with the Kane County Cougars, will welcome ARRA and Trippin’ Billies to Northwestern Medicine Field at 1 p.m. on June 26.
Elise Flagg Dance Studio and Lisa Thomen are also scheduled to perform.
Drinks and food will be available to purchase, but no outside drink or food can be taken into the stadium.
These concerts will be held in the Music Garden of the stadium so bring your own seats and blankets. Tickets cost $15 and can be purchased here. There will also be a $5, cash only, parking fee.
Choklad Crawl
Got a sweet tooth? You’re in luck. Swedish Days has got chocolate lovers covered.
The city’s new Choklad Craw, held Sunday, June 27, will feature 15 local businesses attempting to create the best chocolate-inspired products. The crawl will take participants around Geneva, and the $18 ticket includes samples from all 15 businesses.
The crawl is an open house format from 11 a.m. to 4 pm. You can sample at any of the participating businesses, in any order during those times. Only one sample per ticket will be given.
