2 Dead, 5 Injured After Fire In Glendale Heights: Police
A 46-year-old man and a 4-year old boy were found dead at the scene.
GLENDALE HEIGHTS, IL — A death investigation is underway after a man and a boy were found dead in a condominium complex in Glendale Heights that caught fire early Monday. The victims were identified as Shafath Khan, 46, and Salman Khan, 4, according to the DuPage County Coroner's Office.
Police say they were called to the 100 block of Dunteman in the Water's Edge Condominiums Complex just after 10 a.m. Monday for a report of a fire. Another juvenile, a police officer and three firefighters were injured at the scene, according to an update from the Glendale Heights Police Department.
No updates were available about the injured people at press time. The cause of the fire and the deaths remain under investigation.
