5 Cars Burglarized Overnight In Glen Ellyn

Police say burglars targeted multiple cars between 10 p.m. May 10 and 4 a.m. May 11.

GLEN ELLYN, IL — Five cars were recently burglarized overnight in Glen Ellyn, according to a police report.

The burglaries took place between 10 p.m. on May 10 and 4 a.m. on May 11. Four car burglaries were reported in the 500 block of Elm Street and one was reported in the 800 block of Euclid Avenue.

Police say four of the targeted vehicles had been left unlocked. In one instance, it was uncertain whether the car had been locked.

Warmer weather usually brings an uptick in car burglaries, Glen Ellyn police caution. With that in mind, police are urging residents to remove valuables from their cars and to keep their cars locked when they are unattended.
