Andy's Frozen Custard Coming To Glen Ellyn

GLEN ELLYN, IL — Winter might be right around the corner, but it's not too early to start daydreaming of enjoying frozen treats in summertime. For village residents, that means getting excited about Andy's Frozen Custard, which will open a location in Glen Ellyn in late spring of 2018.

The village board unanimously approved the proposal for Andy's Frozen Custard to occupy a space near the intersection of Lambert Avenue and Roosevelt Road. The location will feature the chain's iconic retro ice cream shop for dining in and ordering to go, along with a drive-thru.

Like the other locations, the Glen Ellyn Andy's Frozen Custard will serve up its malts, banana splits, and old-fashioned seltzer sodas year-round. The menu promises such delectable temptations as the James Brownie Funky Jackhammer (frozen custard blended with brownies and peanut butter around a center of hot fudge) and the Andy Nog, a seasonal shake that swirls custard with spiced eggnog.

Andy's Frozen Custard currently has nine locations in Illinois, including two in Naperville and one in Bolingbrook.
