Bridges On Crescent, Hill To Be Closed For Maintenance

GLEN ELLYN, IL -- Motorists traveling in Glen Ellyn can expect road closures on Hill Avenue and Crescent Boulevard in the coming weeks as crews perform repairs and maintenance on two bridges. The temporary closures will affect the Hill Avenue and Crescent Boulevard Bridges over I-355, village officials said.

The work on the bridges will not take place simultaneously, in order to minimize the impact on traffic. Closures will affect the Hill Avenue Bridge from April 8 to April 15 and the Crescent Boulevard Bridge from April 15 through April 22.

Drivers will be alerted by electronic signs that will recommend alternate routes during the bridge closures. Village officials advised that the closure dates may change if inclement weather affects road maintenance.
