Closures On Crescent Boulevard Due To Bridge Work

GLEN ELLYN, IL -- Commuters in Glen Ellyn can expect a little bit of traffic on Crescent Boulevard in the next week as crews from the Illinois Tollway handle bridge repair work. Crews began the work, which focuses on the bridge over I-355, on Monday.

Similar work was just wrapped up on Hill Avenue, with the construction schedule set up to avoid both bridges being closed to traffic at the same time.

Detour signs and electronic messaging boards will be used to alert motorists of upcoming construction and alternate routes. Road work on the Crescent Boulevard bridge is expected to wrap up on April 22, as long as weather permits.
