College of DuPage to Host 2021 Virtual Commencement Ceremony May 21

Hollywood Actor and Alumnus Lamorne Morris will Offer Special Address
As part of ongoing efforts to prevent the spread of COVID-19, College of DuPage will host a Virtual Commencement Ceremony for the class of 2021 at 7 p.m. on Friday, May 21. The ceremony will be presented via Facebook Live, YouTube and various local cable stations.
“This remarkable group of students has overcome many obstacles to reach this important academic milestone and we look forward to honoring them,” said College of DuPage President Dr. Brian Caputo. "While we can’t celebrate together on campus this year, we plan to honor the graduates in a meaningful way that will reflect our immense pride in everything they have achieved throughout their time at COD.”

The ceremony will feature College leaders and staff, as well as remarks from 2021 Outstanding Graduates Belem Oseguera of Wood Dale and Zachary Rahn of Lisle. In addition, 2003 COD Theater Alumnus and actor Lamorne Morris, known for his role on the Emmy-nominated Fox sitcom “New Girl” and Hulu’s new series “Woke,” will share a message of wisdom and support to the graduates.
