Drive-In Concert Fundraiser To Aid Glen Ellyn Food Pantry

GLEN ELLYN, IL — The Glen Ellyn Food Pantry has planned a drive-in jazz concert for its latest fundraiser. The "Cars Under the Stars" concert, set for Oct. 9 at 7 p.m., will feature live jazz by award-winning jazz musician Alfonso Ponticelli. The concert will be held in the parking lot of Faith Lutheran Church, 41 N. Park Blvd., Glen Ellyn.

A minimum $50 donation per car is required to attend the event. Proceeds will go toward the Glen Ellyn Food Pantry's capital campaign to renovate an old parsonage into the pantry's new headquarters. To date, more than $600,000 has been raised toward the $900,000 goal.

Ponticelli has performed at Green Mill in Chicago, Millennium Park and other venues. He has also performed at various venues throughout the pandemic.
