Food-Themed Earth Day Festival Planned in Glen Ellyn
The Glen Ellyn Park District and the Glen Ellyn Sustainability Group are co-hosting the April 22 event.
Earth day was founded in 1970 as a day of education about environmental issues. Beginning at 7 p.m., April 22, the Glen Ellyn Park District and the Glen Ellyn Sustainability Group will host an Earth Day Festival that celebrates organic and locally-sourced food, smart energy use and an opportunity to view the night sky with telescopes provided by the Naperville Astronomical Association.
The event will take place at the Lake Ellyn Boathouse is located at 645 Lenox Road, Glen Ellyn.
