Free Drive-Thru Shredding Event Planned In Glen Ellyn
Residents can shred up to three bags or boxes of paper at the June 26 event.
GLEN ELLYN, IL — Glen Ellyn residents can safely dispose of papers that contain their personal information at an upcoming free shredding event in the village.
The free paper shredding opportunity will be held June 26 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. in the commuter parking lot next to Glen Ellyn Public Library at 384 Duane St.
Residents are welcome to bring up to three boxes or bags of papers to be shredded at the event, which will be conducted in a drive-thru format. Participants will pull up in their cars and volunteers will remove the bags or boxes from their vehicles.

Items that will be shredded include:
- Tax documents
- Bank statements
- Canceled checks
- Pay stubs
- Receipts
- Utility bills
- Pictures
- Personal documents
The items will be shredded and onsite, and the paper will be recycled. The event is presented by Wheaton Bank and Trust Company, Glen Ellyn Bank and Trust and Glen Ellyn Chamber of Commerce.
