Glen Elllyn Starts Unlimited Refuse Collection Monday

See these guidelines to make sure your trash items get collected during the unlimited refuse collection.

GLEN ELLYN, IL — The village of Glen Ellyn will begin its unlimited refuse collection Monday. The biannual service was rescheduled for the week of June 15 due to the new coronavirus shutdown.

To take part in the unlimited trash collection, households must be located in incorporated Glen Ellyn. Multi-family buildings and commercial buildings are excluded from the collection, but townhomes will be included.

The village urges residents to put their items at the curb by 7 a.m. on their trash pickup day to ensure collection. Refuse items must be separate from normal household trash and recycling items, officials said in an update.
