GLEN ELLYN, IL — It's that time of year again. We've already had the first snow of the winter season and Glen Ellyn is gearing up to host its 2019 tree lighting and holiday walk on Nov. 29.

The theme for this year is Winter Wonderland, so store windows in downtown Glen Ellyn will also be decked out in wintry decor to celebrate the season. Shops downtown will stay open later on Nov. 29 and serve up refreshments to get residents into the holiday spirit and to offer extra shopping opportunities.

Before Santa Claus arrives, you can take part in the Holiday Walk from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Glen Ellyn Public Library. The Holiday Walk will feature festive music and crafts, along with a book sale to benefit the library.
