Glen Ellyn Cops Rescue Raccoon With Head Stuck In Garbage Bin

After being rescued, the raccoon was taken to a nearby wildlife shelter to be rehabilitated.

GLEN ELLYN, IL — A tiny little raccoon has the Glen Ellyn Police Department to thank for a second chance at life. The raccoon was recently found with its head stuck in a garbage bin release valve and police were able to get the animal out safely.

After they rescued the raccoon, police took it to Willowbrook Wildlife Center, where experts nursed it back to health.

The latest update posted on the Glen Ellyn Police Department Facebook says the raccoon is "doing great!"
