Glen Ellyn To Review Final Plans For Apex 400 Development
The luxury apartments will occupy the former site of Giesche Shoes.

GLEN ELLYN, IL -- The final plans for the luxury Apex 400 apartment development will be reviewed by the Glen Ellyn Planning Commission on March 28. The project, which was recommended for approval in January, will include more than 100 luxury apartments, a commercial space, and a two-story parking garage, will replace the village's iconic Giesche Shoes store.
In addition to 107 apartments, the five-story development will feature a first-floor commercial space that occupies more than 8,800 square feet. Village officials say the two-story parking garage will include spaces for residents, in addition to 137 public parking spaces that will be managed by the village.
The purpose of the March 28 meeting will not be to reconsider special permits granted to the developers, but to ensure that the developer's final plans line up with the preliminary plans the village board approved in January.
