GLEN ELLYN, IL — Throughout the month of June, residents and business owners in Glen Ellyn have been busy decking their homes out in red, white and blue for the village's Fourth of July Decorating Contest. The winners will be announced July 3.

More than 40 homes and stores are adorned with patriotic decorations to celebrate the Fourth of July holiday in a socially distant manner, despite the ongoing new coronavirus crisis. Glen Ellyn's Fourth of July fireworks have been canceled, but you can still catch a fireworks show in Naperville at Frontier Park Sports Complex at 9:30 p.m. In nearby Lisle, a vehicle convoy will head through the village at 10 a.m. to celebrate Fourth of July.
